Dr. Carolyn Rando, Forensic Anthropologist, UCL will give you an archaeological/anthropological tour of the tidelines of pebbles, sand and bones of the Thames beach, followed by some mudlarking.
During the mudlarking, you will have the opportunity to listen to the work-in-progress version of French & Mottershead’s Afterlife Water narrative, in which your body decomposes in water, – you will drift slowly down a canal, into the Thames, up and down with the tides, before escaping out into the open estuary and then the sea, before finally being beached and turning to sand.
Let us know what you think of it and feed into the development of the work.
Finally, we’ll all head to a local pub to warm up!
