A Daily Ritual to Capture the Presence of Everybody

 

These performances took place for camera.

Each day as many members of the public as possible were gathered in a different part of the Tramway building for a group photograph. They were placed and posed and instructed to “Look Your Best!”. A local photographer recorded the scene, with each day’s photograph added to the growing exhibition. This sequence of pictures placed audience, artists, programmers, technicians and Tramway staff as equally present and equally participating.
